A sheet of hemp layered with white slip is pressed into the surface, then carefully peeled away, leaving behind a ghostly transfer of texture—an echo preserved in clay.
The exterior remains unglazed, rough, and intricate, its tactile surface carrying the memory of contact.
In contrast, the interior is finished with a smooth matte black glaze, creating a quiet duality between rough and refined.
The piece embodies the dialogue between presence and absence, permanence and impermanence, touch and its lasting trace.
